Schweitzer is considered by many as the best skiing/snowboarding in Idaho and the most family-friendly resort in the Pacific Northwest. From our slopeside lodging, to our renowned tree skiing, the vibe and unique culture at Schweitzer will quickly make you feel at home.
schweitzer.comThe Summit of the Great Escape Quad is an ideal place to take in the expansive views provided by Schweitzer Mountain. Snap a selfie with 3 states, Canada, Sandpoint, and Lake Pend Oreille shimmering behind you.
On a powder day, head to Kohli’s Big Timber for the longest sustained gladed fall line on the mountain. After enough laps, you’ll be tapped into the many different hidden tree lines on the back side, opening up the option to rewind gem after gem of gladed goods.
Anyone headed to Schweitzer should spend time in the nearby town of Sandpoint, only 11 miles away. With a free shuttle bus to and from, this local oasis is more of a town that skis than a ski town and is well versed in keeping locals and visitors well fed, comfortably dressed, and well libated.
Grab a foot-passenger ticket and be lifted to the summit for lunch with a view at Sky House.
