What is the 2019/20 Covid class action settlement about?
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, Alterra Mountain Company, together with local, state, and federal authorities, made the difficult decision to shut down our operations to protect the health and safety of our guests, our employees, and the local communities that support our resorts. Several class action lawsuits were subsequently filed alleging the closure prevented Ikon Pass holders from accessing our ski facilities. Although we fully stand by the decision to pause operations in the face of unprecedented and unknown health and safety risks, we wanted to move beyond March 2020 and have agreed to a settlement resolution for our valued pass holders who were impacted.

What are the terms of the 2019/20 Covid class action settlement?
Eligible 2019/20 pass holders will receive a monetary Covid Class Action Credit in their Ikon Pass My Account that is proportionate to the number of days skied during the 2019/20 season, unless pass holders took action to elect a Covid Class Action Voucher to receive a discount on the purchase of a day ticket at an Alterra Mountain Company destination.

Who is eligible to participate in the 2019/20 Covid class action settlement?
Any 2019/20 Ikon or Ikon Base pass holder who used their pass on or before March 15, 2020 is eligible to participate in the settlement. Anyone who did not use their 2019/20 Ikon or Ikon Base and already received a credit for the purchase price of their 2019/20 pass in My Account, or anyone who received a complimentary 2019/20 Ikon or Ikon Base is not eligible to participate in the settlement.

Covid Class Action Credits will appear in My Account by the time the 2023/24 Ikon Pass goes on sale.

Covid Class Action Vouchers will appear in My Account by August 31, 2023.
Are there any restrictions on my Covid Class Action Credit?
Covid Class Action Credits can be used toward the purchase of a 2023/24 or 2024/25 Ikon Pass product. Covid Class Action Credits cannot be combined with a Deferral Credit. Covid Class Action Credits are only available for use toward the purchase of an Ikon Pass by an individual who was an 2019/20 Ikon Pass holder in the same My Account as the pass holder who receives the Covid Class Action Credit.
Can I use my Covid Class Action Credit with my Deferral Credit?
No. A Covid Class Action Credit cannot be used with a Deferral Credit to purchase a 2023/24 or 2024/25 Ikon Pass.
Can I use my Covid Class Action Credit with my renewal discount?
Yes. A Covid Class Action Credit can be used with a renewal discount to purchase a 2023/24 or 2024/25 Ikon Pass.
How do I transfer my Covid Class Action Credit?
Covid Class Action Credits may only be transferred to individuals who were a 2019/20 pass holder in your Ikon Pass My Account. If you qualify to transfer your Covid Class Action Credit to an individual who was a 2019/20 pass holder in your Ikon Pass My Account, please call 888-365-IKON or 303-729-3174. Email and live chat requests will not be accepted.
When can I use my Covid Class Action Voucher?
Covid Class Action Vouchers may be used toward the purchase of a lift ticket at an Alterra Mountain Company destination beginning in winter 2023/24 and must be used toward the purchase of a day ticket that is used on or before July 31, 2025. Covid Class Action Vouchers cannot be used to purchase a lift ticket to access an Alterra Mountain Company destination after July 31, 2025.
How do I redeem my Covid Class Action Voucher?
Covid Class Action Vouchers can be redeemed after August 31, 2023 by phoning Ikon Pass at 888-365-IKON or 303-729-3174 or by visiting Guest Services at the Alterra Mountain Company destination at which you would like to use your voucher to purchase a day ticket.
Where can I use my Covid Class Action Voucher?
Covid Class Action Vouchers can be used toward the purchase of a day ticket at any Alterra Mountain Company owned or operated destination, excluding CMH Heli-Skiing and Heli-Hiking Adventures. Alterra Mountain Company owned or operated destinations include Steamboat, Winter Park, Palisades Tahoe, Mammoth Mountain, June Mountain, Big Bear Mountain Resort, Snow Valley, Stratton Mountain, Sugarbush Resort, Snowshoe Mountain, Tremblant, Blue Mountain, Crystal Mountain, Deer Valley Resort and Solitude Mountain Resort.
When does my Covid Class Action Voucher expire?
Covid Class Action Vouchers may be applied toward the purchase and use of one single-day lift ticket on or before July 31, 2025, at any single Alterra Mountain Company-owned or operated destination. Covid Class Action Vouchers will expire and cannot be used to purchase a lift ticket to access an Alterra Mountain Company destination after July 31, 2025.
