Ikon Pass provides 23/24 Ikon Pass holders the option to defer their unused Ikon Pass by December 14, 2023 for a credit toward the purchase of a 24/25 Ikon Pass.
Should a 23/24 Ikon Pass holder decide not to use their pass for any reason after purchase, they may elect to defer their unused pass to receive a full credit for the purchase price paid for their 23/24 Ikon Pass to be used toward the purchase of a 24/25 Ikon Pass, subject to applicable terms and conditions. The pass holder must defer their pass in My Account by December 14, 2023 to receive a full credit for the purchase price of their unused 23/24 Ikon Pass.
Alternatively, 23/24 Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, and Ikon Base Plus Pass holders who use their pass will be issued a proportional credit toward the purchase of a 24/25 Ikon Pass product, in the event North American Ikon Pass destinations meet minimum threshold closures due to Covid between December 16, 2023 - March 3, 2024, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
UNUSED 23/24 IKON PASS PRODUCTS MAY BE DEFERRED BY DECEMBER 14, 2023 FOR PASS HOLDER CREDIT TOWARD THE PURCHASE OF A WINTER 24/25 IKON PASS PRODUCT
- 23/24 Ikon Pass holders - Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, Ikon Base Plus Pass, Ikon Session Pass - can elect to defer use of their 23/24 Ikon Pass product for a credit to be used toward the purchase of a 24/25 Ikon Pass product, if their 23/24 Ikon Pass has not been scanned or used at any Ikon Pass destination from pass purchase date through December 14, 2023.
- Any 23/24 Ikon Pass that is scanned or used at any Ikon Pass destination from pass purchase date onward will be considered “used” and will exclude the pass holder from eligibility to defer their pass for credit. Pass use includes any use of a 23/24 Ikon Pass for spring skiing, summer use, gifting or redemption of Friends & Family discounts or Ikon Pass Travel discounts, and use of any other benefits associated with your 23/24 Ikon Pass.
- Eligible pass holders must elect to defer their unused pass in My Account by December 14, 2023 to receive a credit for the purchase price paid for their unused 23/24 Ikon Pass. If you do not defer your unused 23/24 Ikon Pass product in My Account on or prior to December 14, 2023, then you are not eligible to defer your pass for a credit.
- Credits may be used during the standard applicable 24/25 Ikon Pass sales period toward the purchase of any 24/25 Ikon Pass product. Unused credits will expire when 24/25 Ikon Pass products are no longer available for purchase.
- A deferral election may be made by either the purchaser or the adult pass holder of a 23/24 Ikon Pass product. In each case, the associated unused pass credit will only be issued to the actual pass holder (who may not be the pass purchaser) of the deferred 23/24 Ikon Pass product.
- All deferrals of 23/24 Ikon Pass products are final. Once an Ikon Pass is deferred, the pass is deactivated and cannot be used for the 23/24 season.
- A pass holder who has already deferred their 23/24 Ikon Pass product may use their pass credit to repurchase a 23/24 Ikon Pass product provided 23/24 Ikon Pass products are still available for purchase, and the pass holder will be responsible for paying the then-current price for the applicable Ikon Pass product they wish to purchase.
- Credit amounts will be based on the 23/24 Ikon Pass holder’s actual purchase price paid for the 23/24 Ikon Pass product, less insurance, if applicable.
- Credit amounts will be issued in the currency by which the 23/24 Ikon Pass product was purchased from IKON Pass, Inc. and shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid for the 23/24 Ikon Pass product.
- Credit for any 23/24 Ikon Pass product will be applied to the account profile of the actual pass holder whose name is associated with the applicable 23/24 Ikon Pass product and will be available for use toward that pass holder’s purchase of any one 24/25 Ikon Pass product. Credit is non-transferable.
- Credit cannot be redeemed for cash value and no refunds or additional credit will be issued if the purchase price of the 24/25 Ikon Pass product purchased is less than the amount of the unused pass credit associated with the 23/24 Ikon Pass product.
- If there is a price difference between the amount of the credit issued for the 23/24 Ikon Pass product and the Ikon Pass product purchased for the 24/25 winter season for whatever reason, including price increases, pass holder age or eligibility for certain discounts, the purchaser will be required to pay the price difference. IKON Pass, Inc. will not issue partial refunds or credits if the cost of the 24/25 Ikon Pass product is less than the credit amount, and any remaining credit amount will be automatically forfeited upon the pass holder’s redemption of the 23/24 Ikon Pass credit for their one 24/25 Ikon Pass product.
- Credit cannot be applied toward an individual destination mountain pass, frequency or ticket product. Credit may only be used for the purchase of a 23/24 Ikon Pass product.
- Any Ikon Pass holder who elected to defer their pass is eligible for available spring access (if any) only once the deferral credit is available in My Account and an eligible Ikon Pass for the following season is purchased. Credits may not be immediately available in My Account when Ikon Passes go on sale for the following season.
- Ikon Pass products received as a benefit associated with other non-Ikon Pass products that are not purchased by the pass holder directly from IKON Pass, Inc. and/or complimentary passes cannot be deferred for a credit. The option to defer may not apply to Ikon Pass products purchased from an authorized third party seller or from a tour operator as part of a bundled package or trip, and pass holders should discuss with their authorized third party seller or tour operator how the option to defer applies to the Ikon Pass product that is part of their purchase.
- There is no fee to defer 23/24 Ikon Pass products. Other than as expressly stated here, all terms and conditions applicable to Ikon Pass product purchases remain in full force and effect and Ikon Pass products continue to be non-refundable.
IN THE EVENT ELIGIBLE NORTH AMERICAN IKON PASS DESTINATIONS MEET MINIMUM CLOSURE THRESHOLDS DUE TO COVID BETWEEN DECEMBER 16, 2023 - MARCH 3 - 2024, ELIGIBLE 23/24 IKON PASS HOLDERS WILL BE ISSUED A PROPORTIONAL CREDIT AMOUNT TOWARD THE PURCHASE OF A 24/25 IKON PASS PRODUCT
If eligible North American Ikon Pass destinations meet minimum closure thresholds due to Covid between December 16, 2023 - March 3, 2024, Ikon Pass will issue a proportional credit to 23/24 Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, and Ikon Base Plus Pass holders who have used their pass, subject to the following terms and conditions:
- All 23/24 Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, and Ikon Base Plus Pass holders are automatically enrolled to be eligible for a Covid closure credit unless the Ikon Pass holder elects to defer their unused 23/24 Ikon Pass until the 24/25 winter season. Ikon Session Pass is not eligible for any credit due to Covid closures.
- To receive Covid closure credits any North American Ikon Pass destination, excluding CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures, must be closed due to Covid for 2 full consecutive days between December 16, 2023 - March 3, 2024. Once a North American Ikon Pass destination, excluding CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures, is closed due to Covid for 2 full consecutive days between December 16, 2023 - March 3, 2024, then all 23/24 Ikon Pass holders will receive a proportional credit of the actual purchase price paid for their used 23/24 Ikon Pass for every day that any North American Ikon Pass destination, excluding CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures, remains closed due to Covid between December 16, 2023 – March 3, 2024.
- The actual Covid closure credit amount a pass holder will receive for their used 23/24 Ikon Pass will be calculated based on the percentage of days that North American Ikon Pass destinations, excluding CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures, are closed due to Covid during the 79 day period between December 16, 2023 - March 3, 2024.
- A qualifying closure of an eligible North American Ikon Pass destination due to Covid requires the destination to have no uphill access by tram, gondola, chairlift, or other mechanical device for the entire duration of the destination's normal daily operating hours, which is considered a full day. If an eligible Ikon Pass destination has 1 tram, gondola, chairlift or other mechanical device operational for all or part of a day, the destination is considered open. If an eligible North American Ikon Pass destination includes more than one mountain as part of the destination (e.g., Palisades Tahoe), then any uphill access by tram, gondola, chairlift or other mechanical device on any part of the destination shall be considered open. If an eligible North American Ikon Pass destination is closed due to any other reason, including but not limited to high winds, lack of snow, or avalanche, the destination closure does not qualify for Covid closure credit. The decision to close an Ikon Pass destination due to Covid is at the sole discretion of the destination’s management team. For Ikon Pass destinations that offer night-skiing, the closure of night-skiing due to Covid does not qualify as a destination closure for credit.
- Credit amounts will be based on the 23/24 Ikon Pass holder’s actual purchase price paid for the 23/24 Ikon Pass product, less insurance, if applicable.
- Credit may be used at any time during the standard applicable 24/25 Ikon Pass sales period toward the purchase of any 24/25 Ikon Pass product. Unused credits will expire when 24/25 Ikon Pass products are no longer available for purchase.
- Credit amounts will be issued in the currency by which the 23/24 Ikon Pass product was purchased and shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid for the 23/24 Ikon Pass product.
- Credit for any 23/24 Ikon Pass product will be applied to the account profile of the pass holder whose name is associated with the applicable 23/24 Ikon Pass product and will be available for use toward that pass holder’s purchase of any one 24/25 Ikon Pass product. Credit amounts are non-transferable.
- Credits cannot be redeemed for cash value and no refunds or additional credits will be issued if the purchase price of the 24/25 Ikon Pass product purchased is less than the amount of the 23/24 credit.
Credit may only be used for the purchase of a 24/25 Ikon Pass product.
- All Ikon Pass products received as a benefit associated with other non-Ikon Pass products that are not purchased by the pass holder directly from IKON Pass, Inc. and/or complimentary passes are excluded from receiving Covid closure credits. Covid closure credits may not apply to Ikon Pass products purchased from an authorized third party seller or from a tour operator as part of a bundled package or trip, and pass holders should discuss with their authorized third party seller or tour operator how Covid closure credits apply to the Ikon Pass product that is part of their purchase.
- There is no fee associated with Covid closure credits. Other than as expressly stated here, all terms and conditions applicable to Ikon Pass product purchases remain in full force and effect and Ikon Pass products continue to be non-refundable.
