POWDER WOMBATS
When the flakes are falling, the best place to get in some powder turns is on the northside. Venture down Cattleman’s Trail or take a ride through the tall mountain ash forest before catching a ride back up on Tirol. Keep your eyes peeled, you may be lucky enough to spot a Wombat.
SWEET STRUDEL TREAT
If you need some energy before hitting the trails, a midday boost, or an après treat, you must try the Apricot Mogul at Koflers Hutte in the Summit area. For years, the Fleming family has been baking these strudel-style desserts, fueling both visitors and staff members on the mountain. The apricots create the ‘mogul’appearance, and they’re delicious served hot, cold, or with a cheeky dollop of cream.
