Resembling the mountainous regions of Scotland, The Highlands is located 280 miles north of Detroit, Michigan and offers more skiable acres than anywhere else in lower Michigan, including the state's longest ski run. The Highlands makes time for the things that matter in an environment made to bring family and friends together.
highlandsharborsprings.comMake your way to Michigan’s The Highlands for access to the Midwest’s most exceptional terrain parks. Its five diverse parks—including large jumps, complex rails, mellow rollers, and the state’s only halfpipe—make the ideal training ground for every level of skier and rider.
When snow’s in the forecast, put North Peak at the top of your itinerary—both for the powder and for the view. Be sure to break out your camera when you hit the summit to have the entire resort in the background. And on a clear day, you can even spot the Mackinaw Bridge.
The Highlands boasts not only 435 acres of skiable terrain with 55 beginner, intermediate, and expert runs, but also the longest ski run in Michigan: North Peak Pass, coming in at a cool 1.25 miles long. Before you get to cruising there though, hit up Heather, an iconic blue run that makes for a solid warmup.
Keep an eye out for The Highlands guest services representatives—they’ll be the ones roaming the resort doling out free chocolate chip cookies and hot cocoa.
