Access to CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures is not included on the Ikon Pass or Ikon Base Pass. However, the Ikon Pass community gets other perks with CMH:

Ikon Pass holders receive up to $1,400 CAD off a summer heli-hiking trip to any of CMH’s three summer destinations: CMH Cariboos, Bugaboos and Bobbie Burns.

Ikon Pass holders will receive a credit of up to $1,400 CAD to spend on a CMH Heli-Skiing experience. Go day heli-skiing at CMH Purcell any time during the 25/26 winter season or stay at any other CMH destination during December 2025 or April 2026 and get $200 CAD each day of your trip.

Ikon Pass holders receive up to $2,000 CAD to spend on Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing. New customers can claim $400 per day on select tours.

Ikon Pass holders also get Early Booking privileges on winter heli-skiing trips. The most sought-after heli-ski trips often sell out ahead of time, so Ikon Pass skiers and riders can select their preferred trip dates to CMH for the following season one day before the public and one day after CMH’s valued Million Foot Club members.

Opening and closing dates vary for each destination and are subject to change without notice. Check out the scheduled dates, or visit the website of the destination you plan to visit for the most up-to-date information.

The Ikon Base Plus Pass is no longer available for the 25/26 season. Alta, Aspen Snowmass, Deer Valley, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Snowbasin, and Sun Valley are available on the 25/26 Ikon Pass, no access on the 25/26 Ikon Base Pass.

Pass Coverage

Unused Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, and the Ikon Session Pass are all eligible for deferral credit. If a 25/26 Ikon Pass holder decided not to use their pass after purchase, for any reason, they can elect to defer their pass to receive a full credit for the purchase price of their unused 25/26 Ikon Pass to be used toward the purchase of a 26/27 Ikon Pass. The pass holder needs to defer an unused pass in My Account by December 11, 2025 to receive a full credit. Details vary.

Log in to your account, and click the “Confidence to Buy/Deferral” link in the dashboard. Then click “Defer this Pass.” Please note, once you defer your pass, it is no longer eligible for any access or benefits.

25/26 Ikon Pass deferrals must be elected by the pass holder in My Account by December 11, 2025. Once an unused 25/26 Ikon Pass is deferred, it is no longer eligible for any 25/26 access or benefits.

Yes. However, partial deferral credits will not be issued and cash refunds will not be made if there is a price difference between the credit amount and the purchased Ikon Pass. Any remaining balance will be forfeited. Credit is non-transferable and only applicable toward a single Ikon Pass in the same name of the original Ikon Pass holder.

No. A deferral credit is specific to the original individual pass holder of the Ikon Pass, is non-transferrable and only applicable to a single Ikon Pass purchase for the future winter season.

No. Your deferral credit may only be used for the purchase of a single future Ikon Pass and not toward an individual Ikon Pass destination product.

Any use/scan from pass purchase date onward will be considered “used” and will exclude the pass holder from eligibility to defer their pass to the 26/27 season. This includes any use for spring skiing, summer use, gifting or redemption of Friends & Family, Mountain Credits, or Ikon Pass Travel discounts or use of any other benefits associated with your 25/26 Ikon Pass.

Yes. You may reverse your deferral one time by contacting the Contact Center at 888-365-4566 for use during the 25/26 season. Passes must be deferred by December 11, 2025. If you chose to use your 24/25 deferral credits for the 25/26 season, credits will post in My Account in spring 2025 when Ikon Pass goes on sale for 25/26.

No. A credit amount equal to the purchase price paid for your pass, less insurance, will be applied to the account profile of the actual pass holder whose name is associated with the current applicable deferred Ikon Pass; no cash will be returned. Credit is non-transferable and must be used toward a purchase of a single 26/27 Ikon Pass for the same pass holder(s) associated with the deferred Ikon Pass(es). See full terms and conditions

Yes. If you purchase your Ikon Pass and choose to defer your pass to the following winter, you will still be eligible for the following season’s applicable or eligible renewal discounts.

Managing My Account

No. You can have as many Ikon Pass family (or friends) on your account as you’d like. You can purchase an Ikon Pass or Ikon Base Pass for anyone, and you do not need to be related. However, you will need to have authorization to execute the waiver on behalf of everyone on your account.

If photo(s) for all pass holders on your account were not uploaded at time of purchase, instructions will be sent via email to the person who purchased the Pass. A link will be included to upload the photos.

The option to update your existing Ikon Pass photo will be available online June 16 to August 8. If you would like to change your photo outside of these dates, you can do so on-site at any Ikon Pass destination in North America. Simply visit a ticket window or guest services office and the mountain staff will assist you with taking a new photo and printing a new pass.

Yes. Your resort charge will work with your Ikon Session Pass at participating Ikon Pass destinations. Resort charge will continue to work after you have used your days, as long as you continue to have your valid credit card attached to the pass.

Several Ikon Pass destinations are equipped with RFID technology. This allows hands-free access at the lifts. However, not all Ikon Pass destinations have this technology. The hole allows you to attach a lanyard to your Pass so you can show your Ikon Pass or have it scanned.

DO NOT punch another hole in your Pass, as it will no longer work. The Ikon Pass has an antenna around the perimeter of the card that enables the RFID frequency. If damaged, the frequency will not be able to be read.

The Ikon Pass app will function at all global destinations. The Live Map & Tracking feature is only active at North American destinations.

No. Any guest may download and use the app but functionality will be limited if you do not have an active Ikon Pass.

Signing In

To sign in to the Ikon Pass app, please use the same email and password that you used to purchase and/or set up your Ikon Pass account on ikonpass.com. You do not need to create a new or unique account for the app. Click to recover your Ikon Pass password.

First, try to reset your password. If you forgot the email address used to purchase your Ikon Pass or continue to experience problems, please contact guest services at 1-833-IKON-APP (1-833-456-6277).

If you see your Ikon Pass details on the home screen or the Ikon Pass screen, you have successfully linked your pass. Currently, Ikon Pass holders must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and sign in to the app.

Anyone can download the app to their mobile device. However, for multiple people on one Ikon Pass account to be able to access the features of the app individually, please follow these steps:

Via the Ikon Pass app:

  1. The primary purchaser and account holder should download and sign in to the app first.

  4. Tap the Invite button below the participant’s profile image and follow the steps to enter the participant’s email address. Completing this action will send an email to the participant requesting they create their own Ikon Pass account.

  2. Go to My Account home page.
  3. Select the family member/participant who is at least 13 years of age and view their profile page.

  5. Once this participant account is created, they can sign in and begin to manage their own pass in the app, including tracking days and other features. You can see the current status of the invite under the participant’s account on the primary purchaser’s profile screen.

If the feature is locked, please contact the Ikon Pass Contact Center at 1-833-IKON-APP (1-833-456-6277).

The Ikon Pass app experience will vary based on whether or not you are an Ikon Pass holder. The Ikon Pass app home screen also changes to provide locally relevant information when you are at an Ikon Pass destination.

Groups

Ikon Pass holders can create groups of friends within the app to enhance a day on the mountain. These friend groups may include users with or without an Ikon Pass. When you create a friend group, you can see your friends’ locations on the live map, send chat messages, and track stats.

Go to the Live Map and click Start Tracking, then click the Add Friends (+) icon. This will initiate a group text. Add contacts and a text will be sent to the group. Remember, only Ikon Pass holders can initiate friend groups.

  1. Friends with an Ikon Pass who already have the app simply need to click on the link in the text message. The Ikon Pass app will launch and once the friend is signed in, they will automatically be placed in the group and visible on the map.

  2. Friends with an Ikon Pass who have not installed the app will be directed to download the app and sign in with their Ikon Pass account. Once the friend is signed in, they will automatically be placed in the group and will be visible on the map. Friends who have an Ikon Pass that was purchased by someone else should first follow these steps.

  3. Friends who do not have an Ikon Pass will be directed to download the app and create a new Ikon Pass account. Once the friend is signed in, they will automatically be placed in the group and visible on the map. Friends without an Ikon Pass will not be able to view their individual stats. Friends will be able to access other features in the app and can view their group at any time using the Live Map & Tracking links on the home screen or destination screen

Yes. New groups must be created each day on the mountain.

Tracking

Ikon Pass holders at North American Ikon Pass destinations should tap the Start Tracking button on their pass card on the home screen. Ikon Pass holders and friends invited by Ikon Pass holders can also do this on the Live Map & Tracking screen accessed either from the button on the home screen or the Destination screen. If Start Tracking is not visible, check that Location Sharing is enabled.

When Start Tracking is activated, the Ikon Pass app tracks lifts, trails, distance, hours, vertical feet, and difficulty of trails skied or ridden. (Users without an Ikon Pass will not be able to view their individual stats in the app.)

No. Tracking must be activated at the beginning of each day. Tap the Start Tracking button on the home screen or at the top of the Live Map & Tracking screen.

No. It is not required to stop tracking at the end of each day. Tracking stops when you leave a destination or after eight hours. You can stop tracking at any time using the button on the home screen pass card or on the Live Map & Tracking screen.

No. The app is smart enough to pause your tracking when you are in a building or not moving for a certain period of time.

Yes. The app uses GPS and will automatically sync data when it reconnects with your network service or WiFi. Note that you will need an Internet connection to start your tracking session.

No. Those without an Ikon Pass can only start tracking if invited to a group by an Ikon Pass holder.

No. The app uses GPS to monitor activity and it is not possible to capture retroactive location data.

Days are listed on your Ikon Pass card on the home screen and on the Ikon Pass screen. Days are calculated the first time an Ikon Pass is scanned at a lift each day. While this number updates automatically, it may take 24-48 hours to update in the app. Days is the official metric for pass usage and remaining access days at each destination. Days Tracked are the days the Start Tracking button was activated within your app. Start Tracking should be activated at the beginning of each day to capture all stats. You may see a difference in Days and Days Tracked.

No. Tracking will function from any pocket, boot or bag you keep on your person. Try to keep it in a warm place to preserve battery life.

My Stats

You must be an Ikon Pass holder and tap Start Tracking to see any stats. Location Services must be enabled in device settings.

No. There is currently no way to export or share your stats in the app.

Leaderboard

The Ikon Pass leaderboard shows the top 25 people in the categories of days tracked, vertical feet, and lifts accessed. You can view the leaderboard for each Ikon Pass destination or across all Ikon Pass destinations. You can also view the leaderboard for today, this week, this month, and the entire season. The leaderboard is accessed by the button at the bottom of the Stats screen.

Each Ikon Pass holder can create or join up to five private leaderboards. These leaderboards allow everyone to join the fun by limiting participants to only those pass holders who are invited. Private leaderboards can be created for a single destination or across all Ikon Pass destinations.

You will be prompted to opt in to the leaderboard when first accessing this feature in the app. If you want to change your participation in the leaderboard, go to the Profile screen and adjust the opt-in toggle. (Only Ikon Pass holders who have opted in via the Profile section or during the initial prompt can access the leaderboard.)

Simply track your days and opt-in to the Leaderboard. If your stats rank in the top 25 users for any of the Leaderboard filter criteria, you will see your name listed. Note that if we detect an anomaly in your stats you will receive an email warning. If malicious behavior continues, you can be banned from the Leaderboard. This will not affect your stats, but you will not be able to participate in the fun.

Live Maps & Geo-Tracking

Live Maps & Tracking is only available when Location Services is enabled and an Ikon Pass holder is signed in at a North American destination. Other users can access Live Maps & Tracking once they have been invited to a friend group by an Ikon Pass holder and complete the steps to join the friend group.

Once the steps to add friends to a group have been completed, friends and their locations can be seen on the Live Map & Tracking screen. If you or your friends stop tracking, the user location will be removed from the map.

Friend photos attached to their Ikon Pass account will be seen on the Live Map. Non-Ikon Pass holders can add a photo to their account in the Profile screen by tapping Change Photo.

Favorites

Click the Edit Favorites on the home screen, the Destinations Area, or the Profile screen. You can also click Save To Favorites on any individual destination screen in the Destinations tab. You can remove favorites by tapping Edit and de-selecting the star icon or by clicking Remove Favorite on the Destination screen.

Tap Edit on favorites displayed on the home screen, Destinations screen, or profile screen, long press the icon on the right side of each line and drag to reorder your favorites as you prefer.

Other
